From me in the boss’s chair, a quick look back at the year. First, we’ve had some success outside the office, taking home this year’s Corporate Member award from the Institute of Translation and Interpreting (ITI). This was for work we’ve done helping translators learn about the industry and keep up-to-date – for example by presenting to language students and professional translators at universities and conferences – plus we’ve even made our own series of webinars.

We were also shortlisted for awards for professional and customer service at the Surrey Business Awards for our general company values and customer care. This has all been great for motivation, visibility and confidence and I would highly recommend getting involved.

We’ve also completed our rebrand with a new website and material reflecting a rethink about our core values and message to the world.

Internally, staff are hitting milestones with Head of Translation Operations, Hannah Stacey, celebrating 10 years at the company and two others reaching the five-year mark.

So, with the support of all customers, suppliers and team members, we look forward to a purple patch in 2020. From me to everyone – Happy New Year!
